The Zoe Valle Library is a community library serving Chester and the surrounding area. It is supported by charitable donations to the Zoe Valle Lightfoote Endowment Fund which is managed by a Board of Trustees and administered by the Municipality of Chester.

First built in 1938 as a movie house, the Playhouse has been through many reincarnations. Now in it present form the Playhouse is a 100+ seat theater that presents plays, both local and international, and shows movies on their big screen.
